Welcome

Sunnyside Mortuary owners, Charles and Nina, feel blessed to serve families of all faiths and preferences in Garden Grove and Buena Park, as well as their surrounding areas. With the help of their dedicated staff, the two have provided burial or cremation services to more than 3,000 families with compassioncommitment and a mission to celebrate lives with a positive and healing impact. As a family-owned mortuary, it is their wish to continue service for many generations to come.

Sunnyside Mortuary strives to keep its funeral costs well below the national and California average without sacrificing excellent service and care. We offer several cremation packages, starting with Farewell (direct) Cremation at $650, and several burial packages, starting with Cherished Burial at $3,600. See our Price Comparisons page to see how our prices compare to other local funeral homes.

Service options tailored to your preferences are available for burial and cremation. Choosing cremation does not deny families a commemorative experience; it can actually increase your options when planning a funeral. Cremation gives people the flexibility to search for types of tributes that reflect the life being honored. But, this doesn’t mean that aspects of traditional funeral services have to be discarded. Even with cremation, a meaningful memorial that is personalized to reflect the life of the deceased can include:

  • A visitation prior to the service.
  • An open or closed casket.
  • Special music.
  • A ceremony at the funeral chapel, your place of worship or other location.
  • Participation of friends and family.

Commonly, cremated remains are placed in an urn and committed to an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, interred in a family burial plot or included in a special urn garden. Cremation also gives families the option to scatter the remains. This can be done in a designated cemetery garden or a place special to that person. Today, cremated remains can even become part of an ocean reef or made into diamonds.

We offer a variety of caskets, flowers, jewelry and urns. Additionally, Sunnyside Mortuary extends its compassionate services to diverse cultural and religious communities by providing specialized death care offerings. Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in our ability to offer Korean, Chinese, and Hindu death care services to cater to our Orange County community’s unique needs and preferences. We understand the importance of honoring cultural and religious traditions during the end-of-life process, and our dedicated team is here to support you in preserving the cultural and spiritual aspects that matter most to you and your loved ones.

We also offer facility rental at both locations at 12301 Magnolia St., Garden Grove and 7651 Commonwealth Ave., Buena Park.
